Summer Arrived Today

Hooping in the streets
Off to the parade

It’s been and on-and-off sort of summer start…cold, hot, grey, foggy…but this morning for the Parade, summer was solidly here…and we celebrated with a float in the Searsport Parade…The decorating began this morning at 9, line up was at 10:45 on Norris Street.  Thank you Bob for providing the foot stomping music, the bubble machine for atmosphere…and the gun that shot off t-shirts and baseball caps…who needs to toss candy when you can shot a shirt 40 feet into the crowd?

Flower Power

Our beloved Becky led the float project(this year’s theme was Flower Power) and professional photographer (and this week’s esteemed Artist in Residence) Jodi Renshaw snapped the pictures…here are some raw images…there are more on our facebook page, the photo album is July 4th, 2011
