Ellen Mason Artist in Residence

Fabric Artist Ellen Mason spent a week teaching guests of Searsport Shores Ocean Campground to upcycle and design bags, mittens, flowers and hats. A professional designer of knitwear and funky women’s clothing, Ellen set herself a goal of making one outfit for each day…we enjoyed watching her wardrobe grow! Thank you Blake Hendrickson for making this video.

What Did You Do Today?

An early Summer Day at Searsport Shores Ocean Campground. The fresh water stream runs through the middle of the 40 acres…flowing into Penobscot Bay and providing unlimited opportunities to play, splash and hunt for eels and newts. If life is about the moments you remember, what are your plans for this summer?

Winter Carnival in Quebec City and Eating Homemade Donuts

For Steve’s birthday we took a drive up to Quebec City for Winter Carnival. There were thousands of people, tubing, skiing, sled racing, skating, toboggan jumping and so much more. Most crazy were the international canoe races in the St Lawrence river, most interesting were the professional ice and snow sculptures who carved away throughout the weekend, most fun was the snow Ferris wheel. and even though it was close to 0 degrees F and windy. Everybody was happy just to be having so much fun at the Carnival, maybe it was the coco.
