Blake Hendrickson is scheduled to be the artist in residence August 19-26…but “real” work has called him away and he has covered himself by bringing in a  small group of artists from way-northern Maine.  The preparations have been done and he just sent a note that he has spent the week with his “crack team of creative consultants  surging ahead with the Big Fish. Today involved laying out and cutting 50+ large scales (the design needs 49), 20+ small scales and some tail segments.”

The accompanying pictures show that they recycle everything – mostly for reuse. We’re sad that Blake has been distracted but excited to have the artists from Northern Maine make their debut here at Searsport Shores
