The Last Weekend of the Season

It’s always so hard to accept that summer is over and it’s time to close up the cabins, clean up the gardens and pack up all the projects we have in the park.  I love that we live in a 4 season world but I always have a hard time letting go of one season and welcoming the other fullheartedly.

Steve knows this makes me sad so he saved a surprise for me…the other day when I looked out the window I found a belated birthday present…with a note attached: “in 30 minutes we leave for an overnight escape so pack your hiking boots… Love Steve

I’ve been wanting a little utility trailer…something we can use to move the goats across the street for new foraging and to bring toys from one place to another…today it’s for picking up the lovely gift of two weaving looms from Jonesport

We spent the night in a little cabin in Bar Harbor…it was a full moon and this is what my phone was able to capture…we toasted Diana with a glass of Chardonnay 😉

This is our last weekend and we’re celebrating by taking part in the Cultivate Belfast Tour and Searsport’s Fling into Fall…maybe you should take a last minute vacation too?!? The light’s on and the showers are hot!
