Jason Saw a Halibut…

North Atlantic Halibut
Jason Cromeenes

This morning the water was calm, the tide was out and Jason from Orland went diving to bring some really big starfish and sea urchins up for the kids to see…and he saw a funny, flat brown fish on the bottom with two eyes on one side of it’s head…a halibut…just 5 feet off the low tide.

The mackerel are running too…although I haven’t smelled any grilling on a campfire, we know that they’re here because the porpoise and seals are popping up all over the Bay.
