The porpoise were this close

This Morning I got up to a beautiful view of the Penobscot Bay from my campsite. It was so calm I had to go kayaking before breakfast. As soon as I left the beach, only out about 500′ out were 3 to 4 porpoises going in and out of the water.

I continued toward Sears Island and watched 2 Tug Boats heading toward Mack Point.  All around me were seals poking there heads out of the water one at a time keeping an eye on me. Then I noticed the Osprey flying around

their nest at the Red channel maker #6

On the way back to Searsport Shores there were loons and cormorants all around me.

As I got near the beach I heard the noise of a porpoise breathing and saw them playing around out on the Bay.

It was a great morning to be out in the kayak in front of Searsport Shores.
